GA4 campaign URL toolkit

Campaign URL tools that keep GA4 reporting clean.

Name tokens consistently, build or bulk-generate tagged URLs, then check links before they split sessions across lookalike campaigns.

Quick answer: which UTM fields matter?

Required fields are utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign. Add utm_content, utm_term, or utm_id only when they answer a reporting question such as creative, keyword, or promotion id.

UTM Tools FAQ

What is UTM Tools?

UTM Tools is a no-login toolkit for GA4 campaign URLs: a single URL builder, bulk generator, checker, and naming helpers that keep source, medium, and campaign tokens consistent before links ship.

Which tool should I open first?

If you need one clean tagged link, open the Google Analytics URL Builder. For a launch matrix, use Bulk Builder. For an existing messy link, use the Checker. Lock vocabulary first with the Naming Convention Generator when teams disagree on tokens.

Do these tools store my URLs?

No. URL building and checking run in your browser. UTM Tools does not require an account and does not intentionally save the destinations or UTM values you enter.

How is this different from Google’s Campaign URL Builder?

Google’s builder creates one URL at a time. UTM Tools keeps the same required fields, then adds bulk generation, naming conventions, and a checker for duplicates, casing, separators, and missing campaign values before you publish.

Should I tag internal links?

Usually no. Tagging internal navigation can overwrite attribution and pollute campaign reports. Reserve UTMs for external campaigns, emails, ads, partners, and other owned outbound channels.
